DPS Varanasi organized a workshop on public speaking on 23rd March’ 13. ‘Young achievers. Experts Dr. Awadh Dubey & Mr. Vinod Yadav graced the occasion. The guests, Dr. Awadh Dubey, a well known ophthalmologist by profession and an eminent career guide and students motivator. Mr. Vinod Yadav a Harvard University pass out and an engineer encouraged students with his motivational words in presence of Ms Seema Rajgarhia Principal Mr. R.K Pandey and Vice Principal Ms Ashoo Kalra. In the series of activities first parents were invited to share their views and encourage their children. Dr. Jyoti Pallavi’s mother recited a poem for her daughter, Colonel Mishra ,Shashank’s father motivated him calling him a child prodigy, Upatya felt over whelmed when her father Akhileshwar Srivastava and one of our teachers, called her a precious daughter. Priyansh is fond of gadgets told his father Sanjeev Khemka. Mr Yadav father of Vinod our guest also shared his son’s journey and his own role in it. Principal Mr. Pandey too couldn’t resist speaking his heart out for daughter Shibani. Ever since the first workshop was conducted children remain in touch. Dr. Dubey through mail where they learnt things like, cleaning their almirah, participating in house hold activities importance of charity especially hand me down. After the turn of parents came the turn of our little ones. The session proceeded as Mr. Vinod called Pallavi Singh to put her views forward on the topic The place of women in modern India and education. The Young girl surprised the audience by her clarity of speech and keen sense of Indian democracy. Upatya Krishna followed her followed her and gave her strong views on ‘current political scenario. Then came Shashank Mishra who enamored the audience with his ‘spiritual views on spirituality and religion’.Shibani Pandey came with a new outlook on the issue of women participation in Indian society and education’. Shivam Agrawal threw light on the cause and effect of increasing population in India. Ajay Tripathi a proud son was both honored and elated talking on the topic given ‘what Dps can learn from your father. Priyansh was called to share his views on ‘Robotics’. Mili was seen strongly defending her topic ‘when we grow why our dreams are challenged. And came Anandita Singh wearing the shoes of Education Minister and gave a rejuvenating speech. Pratyush gave us an insight on how to use technology in development. Last but not the least Shivam Keyal gave a strong appeal on ‘how our social values are challenged by the society’. The workshop was more of a forum where situational questions were tackled by spontaneous reply. In between various tips on how to improve listening skills, speaking skills were given. Format was simple in order to make students comfortable. The young achievers mesmerized their teachers and the parents with their oratory skills and confidence each word of theirs said-Aries, Awake, stop not until the goal is achieved. The teachers came forward to give their feed back and congratulate students, Ms Shivangi, Ms Priyanka Ms Kavita Ms Mukul did the dues. The session was summarized by Dr. Dubey and his feed back and Principal Mr. Pandey too gave his valuable piece of advice to his dear children.
