Early Childhood Education Workshop
A teacher makes a positive difference to the learning of children, it is extremely important for them to constantly improve skills to match the challenging demands of today’s children and parents.’ Keeping this vision in mind, a workshop on Early Childhood Education was conducted by HRDC, Delhi Public School Society. The workshop was held on 11 th and 12 th October in the school premise of DPS Varanasi. 75 teachers from 24 DPSs participated in the same .The motto of this workshop was to develop each teacher’s potential to the optimum so that each child may achieve the goal of excellence. The programme was introduced by Dr. Sharda Manocha Jt. Director HRDC, The DPS Society. Dr. Renu Gulati Associate Professor IHE, University of Delhi, discussed the milestones and implications of Cognitiv Development and Ms. Geeta Gujral, Supervisor DPS International , R.K. Puram focused on curriculum planning and assessment for pre-schoolers. The team of DPS Varanasi, also took a few sessions on Ice breaking, language development, gamification ,circle time etc. which were the showcase of innovative teaching being done at school . The workshop was beneficial for teachers as it dealt with nuances of child development.
