What are Unidentified Flying Objects?
  • A UFO is any flying object that hasn't been identified as a natural or man-made entity
  • Some people think these objects are alien spacecraft, although there is no conclusive evidence yet
  • UFOs have occurred in all shapes and sizes, but most often they are round, cylindrical, cigar shaped or triangular
  Are UFOs alien spacecraft?

No Yes
There is no evidence of intelligent aliens living anywhere in our Solar System. Many planets have been found revolving around stars outside the Solar System.
Using our current spacecrafts it would take over 73,000 years to get to the nearest star system, Alpha Centauri. Alien technology could be far in advance of our own, allowing more effective space travel.
Einstein's theory of relativity sets a limit on how fast something can travel - the speed of light. Travelling near this speed would require an enormous amount of energy. Einstein's theory is accepted for now. But it may be wrong. More advanced theories could be discovered in the future that allow faster than light travel.
Officially there have been no alien spacecraft found around the world. Nearly all photographs are blurred and many have been proved to be forgeries. Find out more There are thousands of UFO photos in the world that claim to show alien spacecraft. And many more eyewitness accounts of UFO sightings.
There are numerous other things that a UFO could be other than an alien spacecraft.
