The Investiture Ceremony is the most important official ceremony for any school.
On 1st August, 2007, the morning sun was a witness to the Oath taking ceremony of the Students’ Council of DPS, Varansi.
The ceremony started off with the Lighting of the Lamp By Pro VC Shri Pradeep Rajgaria and Shri Pradeep Ghosh, Principal of the school. After the Morning Prayer, which was conducted by the Principal, began the Badge Presentation Ceremony. Absolute silence marked the seriousness of the occasion as ProVC Sir awarded Ashish Tulsiyan the Badge of Head Boy & Shraddha Sareen, the Badge of Head Girl. Thereafter all the Captains and Vice Captains of the houses along with the Sports Captain, Sports Vice Captain, Literary Incharge and the Prefects walked up to the dais to accept the badges of responsibility. Once all the office Bearers had received their badges and the sashes, began the solemn affair of taking the Oath of Office, which was administered by Principal Sir. It was a sight to savour, as the smartly dressed newly appointed Office Bearers beamed with pride and self confidence while the Head Boy and the Head Girl of the School delivered their First Addressal to the school.
The Ceremony concluded with the National Anthem after which ProVC Sir had a brief interaction with the Council Members where he emphasized on the importance of their new authorities and responsibilities. The rapt attention with which he was heard, signified the seriousness, with which the newly appointed Members had taken up the task allotted to them.
