The shinning faces of the students were  bright like the sun shinning in the sky spreading its brilliance all around it. Various sporting events viz. Cricket, Chess, Carrom, Lawn tennis, Skating , Table tennis , Badminton , Taek-wan-do , Karate , Swimming , etc. were  organized on this day. The students had been honing their skills on these games through out the first semester under the expert guidance of their coaches.  It was heartening to see the little champs exhibiting their talent on the arena . Needless to say that there are quite a few  Irfan Pathan and Sachin Tendulkars in the making.

On the other hand it was seen that a game that calls for the rigorous use of the mental faculties also is a hot favourite among our blossoming wizards .These buds were trying their best to display their talent and their expertise at various games be it- Lawn Tennis or Carrom .It was indeed creditable to see these little ones balance themselves impeccably on the skates and move effortlessly on the floor. The cynosure of all eyes were those who were moving gracefully in the depths of the waters , displaying their complete control on the different strokes .

A complete control on their limbs at such a tender age and the strict  discipline that could be seen among the students demonstrating various maneuvers of Karate and Tai – Kwando was indeed commendable. The entire campus reverberated  with sounds of clapping and cheering  proving that Sports is definitely an integral part of our day-to-day  life . Students participated in each of the events with great enthusiasm.

Some went home with the smile of a winner on their face while some had to satisfy themselves with the thought that it is important to participate.

At the conclusion of the day’s extravaganza the achievers were awarded certificates .The entire programme was ably anchored by Mrs. Indrani Sen .The celebration of Sports as an integral part of our lives was concluded with the National Anthem .
