Felicitation Ceremony (Junior Wing)

The month of March is the time for felicitations. Hard work of students is recognized with grandeur and opulence- badges, medals, and trophies are bestowed to the deserving students. The Open Air Theatre of Delhi Public School Varanasi, buzzed with radiant faces of students, all agog to gather their honour. The occasion was the Prize Distribution ceremony for the session 2008 - 2009 at DPS Vns  on Saturday the 28th of March ’09 for classes I-V

 

The much-awaited event was well inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. A.N Ganguly Head Deptt. of Pediatrics & Surgery, IMS, BHU, who not only kindled the lamp but also the heart of the audience with his motivating words. .

The programme got going with the performer’s badge category, given to the students who show remarkable progress in the second semester of the session. It was followed by the scholar’s badge given to the students scoring 90% and above. This group had massive number of 200 plus students. The theatre echoed with applause for the ‘Illuminati’ badge holders as their performance has been a consistent affair for the last 3 years. ‘Blue Blazer’ was conferred to those students who scored 90% above marks for four consecutive years. Harshita Awasthi of class IV A continued her romp by bagging the much sought after ‘Brilliance’ trophy awarded for securing the first position for four consecutive years. Anagha Kapoor of class V D did herself proud by winning the ‘Virtuouso’ award. It was a proud moment for Yash Kesharwani of class V B as his diligence bore fruit of the most prestigious award, ‘Prodigy’ – given for attaining first rank for five consecutive years.

The dedication and devotion of the first rank achievers of all classes & sections was appreciated by all, it was an emotional moment for the parents and scholars alike for they have waited for this occasion so long.
The programme was well anchored by Ms. Sarmishtha Ghosh & Ms. Tripti Singh and it concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Sarmishtha Ghosh.
