Initially the children went to meet the District Magistrate Mr. Ajay Kumar Upadhyay, who extended his complete support to them. He frankly answered the questions asked by the students and cleared their doubts regarding ‘Disaster Risk Reduction’ and ‘Mitigation’.  He informed them about the roles of various agencies in disaster management and various techniques used by them to rescue the people.

Next they proceeded for an interview with the NCC Commandant Wing Commander Mr. V.P. Agrawal. Mr. Agrawal enlightened them by his informative lectures regarding management of disaster and also solved their queries. He told them about the actions taken by the NCC to prevent the disaster and recover the losses. His explanation was supported by informative Video Clips.

At last the children were escorted to the head of the Army Unit of NCC to meet Lt. Col. Kamble, who Interacted them  in a very polite  manner and informed them about  the various role played by the NCC cadets. He also informed them about various programmes including relief and awareness generations that the cadets undertake. He showed them some pictures of cadets undertaking programmes in various villages.

These programmes included relief activities, spreading awareness and education related camps.

All together it was a very inspiring and motivating visit for them. It was a great learning experience and they returned with a motto to safeguard our country in future.
