Creativity for Kids
On 10th February 2008, Delhi Public School Varanasi organized a fun filled programme- ‘Creativity for Kids’- an Inter school talent hunt in their spectacular campus. Gaiety and festivity was in the air as around 90 children of the age group 3 to 6 along with their parents and teachers rushed excitedly into the school situated at village Vishokhar, near Amra Chauraha.

The programme comprised five events - search for the best- painter, orator, dancer, singer and the wittiest kid.In the hunt for creativity-the judge and the audience of the show were spell bound to witness their creative acts with power packed confidence.

With excellent expression, the tiny tots recited English and Hindi rhymes to get selected as the best Orator. The singers and the painters led the judges into trouble – for they found it difficult to choose the budding singer and
painter. The dancers enraptured the hearts of the spectators with their scintillating performance. In the ‘Wittiest Kid’ category there were two events – mimicry and fancy dress. The Open Air Theatre of DPS Varanasi reverberated with the sound of laughter and applause when the Little powerhouse of talent performed mimicry. The fancy dress was A spectacular show, which left the judges in a dilemma to choose the best.

To add to the gaiety, the students of the class of II to V of DPS Varanasi presented a mesmerizing instrumental programme. This was followed by Antakshari for the parents of the participants.

The Open Air Theatre of DPS Varanasi, once again echoed with applause as The young achievers marched up to the dias to gather the exciting prizes. There were lucky draws for the kids and their parent. The sponsors of the show were The Times of India, SBI Life Insurance and Boost. The prizes were sponsored by DPS Varanasi and Faber Castle.
