Annual Function : Senior & Junior wings

Abhyodaya 2008, the 6th Annual Function of Delhi Public School Varanasi  was staged by the Senior Wing on 16/11/08.

The HOD of Plastic Surgery Dept., BHU & President, All India Plastic Surgeons’ Association, the Guest of Honour.

 

The lamp was lit up by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour , Pro V.C.  Mr. Pradeep Rajgarhia, Principal Mr. Pradeep Ghosh and the Headmistress Ms. Ashoo Kalra. Following this Mr. Pradeep Ghosh , the Principal read the Annual School Report.

The Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Prakash, S.S.P Varanasi was visibly impressed by the premises and the astounding welcome, by the Kids.  Dr. V. Bhattacharya, the Guest of Honour also eulogized the performance of the children and congratulated the Management for giving a wonderful platform to these young talents.
The programme began with Bharatnatyam dance. followed by the  School Orchestra- a mellow and soul stirring music on Sitar, Guitar , Congo, Tabla and Violin.

The lilting choir drilled into the audience the fact that God is one through their vibrant song .

The star of the evening was  "Tathagat"  - a play spanning the life and teachings of the great Master Lord Buddha.

The entire play was beautifully done, meticulously handled, and  could not see the scans in anything.

Sneha Jain of class VIII and Apoorva Yadav of class IX carried off the anchoring of these shows with alacrity and great confidence.

Vote of thanks was given by Anant Shukla of Class XII . The evening was swallowed up in a chorus of goodbyes and the pandemonium of departure.

 Pro V.C Mr. Pradeep Rajgarhia congratulated the entire staff members, the children and the parents for making the programme a grand success. Mrs. Seema and Mr.Pankaj Rajgarhia were also present to boost up the morale of the students and the teachers.

Annual Day Celebrations

held on 15/11/08

The premises of Delhi Public School Varanasi thronged with the people on 15th November 2008 during the august occasion of their Annual Day celebration ‘Abhyodaya’.

The entire field was adorned like a bride to give an excellent avenue to these young children for the mythological paradigm. Mr. Praveen Singh I.G Zone Varanasi graced the chair of the Chief Guest. He congratulated the management and the teachers for providing an excellent platform to the students for preparing better  citizens of the nation. The Guest of Honour Prof. Ritiwik Sanyal  (Dean, Faculty of Performing Arts, BHU ) also praised the joint venture of both the teachers and the students.

The programme started with the auspicious lighting of lamp. TheChief Guest along with Pro VC Pradeep  Rajgarhia ,  Principal Mr. Pradeep Ghosh and Headmistress Ms. Ashoo Kalra  lighted the lamp  and inaugurated the function followed by the school report presented by the principal Mr. Pradeep Ghosh the tiny tots paid reverence to the almighty God, through pushpanjali which depicted the beautiful mudras of bharatnatyam.
Vibrant musical programme of orchestra in which around 50 students played rag hamir on different instruments filled the entire area  with the rhapsody of musical cascade.

The reverent tribute to lord Rama was given by the little  angles through their stupendous performance.
The main attraction of the programme was ‘Bal Hanuman’ in which Hanuman, Rama , Sita and other important characters. arrested the attention of everyone present. The magnificent stage setup and the attractive attire of the children added lustre to the programme.

The vote of thanks was given away by Ms. Aprajita  followed by the national anthem.

Over all it was an evening filled with soothing zephyrs, riveting moments and the excellent performance of the students which smoothly surpassed the superlatives. Pro VC Mr. Pradeep Rajgarhia congratulated the entire staff members, the children and their parents for making the programme a grand success. Ms. Seema & Mr. Pankaj Rajgarhia were also present to boost up the morale of the students and the teachers.
