Annual Function Report 2007 : Primary Wing
The primary wing of DPS Varanasi celebrated its annual function on 2/11/07 in the school premises. The ground was full of the remarkable & awesome crowd of Varanasi. The parents and guests were excitedly waiting for the school to divulge their efforts of the past few days.
 

The program started with a welcome speech. The occasion was graced by the S.S.P. Mr. S.B. Shiradkar as the Chief Guest and Mr. A.K. Banerji,Sr.member executive council as the Guest of Honour.The program commenced by lighting of the lamp.

The annual report was read out by the Principal Mr. Pradeep Ghosh. He highlighted the events, efforts and the achievements of the toddlers of the school. He extolled the interest, discipline, creativity and sense of participation and eulogized the efforts of the teachers in imparting quality education. 

This was followed by an address by the chief guest. He said that he was delighted at the efforts that the school was making in the field of education and also blessed the students.

This was followed by an address by Prof. A.K. Banerji who was very happy to see the school progressing continously and wished the same progress in future.

The program set going by presentation of a classical maestro “Pushpanjali” which was a tribute by the students to their Guru, the almighty God, the Mother Earth and the audience. The crowd was overwhelmed at the flawless efforts of the children.

The school choir took up next on the stage and presented the much popular song “Hum honge kaamyab” in blend with its English version “We shall overcome”. This presentation was a sincere effort to show the pious and invincible thoughts of the upcoming generations.

The next presentation was a celebration for the new Seven Wonders of the World. Kids dressed up as people from all the countries related to the Seven Wonders of the World looked fabulous. Glimpses from the cultures of these countries were staged charismatically, portraying the music and dance of the related countries leaving the audience spell bound.

Lastly, the presentation of “Raas” was a treat for everybody’s heart & soul. The dances related to the life of Shri Krishna & his famous “raas” were presented beautifully by the little children. The magic of his flute worked leaving the audience in an aura of love & devotion for the divine being.

The program was successfully anchored by the students of classes I,III and IV. They, alongwith those students who gave their voices for recording were called on stage and given a special thanks.

The program ended with a vote of thanks to all the program incharges and those who had helped to make the program successful, followed by the National Anthem.
