100 days of Nursery 2009

D.P.S. Varanasi celebrated “100 days of Nursery Kids”

Delhi Public School Varanasi always makes an endeavour to encourage and gear up the DIPSITES to spread their wings and soar in the sky.

 

DPS Varanasi celebrated “100 days” of Nursery Kids on 14th November which coincides with the Children’s Day which is celebrated on Pandit Nehruji’s birthday as a day of fun and frolic, a celebration of childhood and Nehruji’s love for them. It was celebrated in the school premises to salute their glorious journey of their learning process. This day was celebrated on the accomplishment of 100 days of schooling and togetherness of the nursery children.

Various game stalls were put up by the teachers like lacing the shoe, and burst a balloon. The tiny toddlers were seen thronging around the game stalls with their parents, eager to show their potential and win the shield back home.

The parents entered through the big 100 days flex entrance with beaming faces. Their ecstasy was boundless and so was the joy on the occasion. The class rooms were well-decorated displaying the various activities done by the children during this golden period. The parents were enthralled to see the creativity and hidden artist in their children. Another interesting event of the day was the face painting competition.

The winners of this competition were Gautmi of Nur-A, Shlok of Nur-B, Devansh from Nur-C and Shubh of Nur-D.
Winners of Art Attack were Ms. Shivalika Agrawal mother of Madhur Agrawal Nur- A and Ms. Namita Pratap mother of Poorvi Nur-A, Ms. Veenita Khemka mother of Kirti Khemka Nur-C and Ms. Shewta Agrawal mother of Deepali Agrawal Nur-C. The parents left no stone unturned to show their creativity in all the events.

Musical chair was organized for the children the winners were Navya of Nur-A, Vasudha, Khushi, Hiya and Garmia of Nur-B, Yuvika of Nur-C, Mahir, Abhishree, Mahi and Rithima of Nur-D. A lucky draw was also held which kept the inquisitiveness of the parents tangled till the end, and the winner was Ms. A. Agrawal mother of Devansh Agrawal of Nur-C.

The programme was followed by a small presentation in which the children enacted a Rhyme which was sung by the children. Then the little buds performed a lovely dance on ‘Hum Aage Badhte Jayenge’ which mesmerized everyone. The principal Mr Pradeep Ghosh, the Vice Principal of the school Mrs. Ashoo Kalra and the Director Mr. Pankaj Rajgarhia and Ms. Seema Rajgarhia graced the occasion with their warm presence.
The candy floss and the balloon man engrossed the children’s attention all the way. It was a day to remember and rejoice.
